Save £20 on RRP! Nauteco Performance Antifouling provides a unique solution to boat fouling using innovative microbiological technology to mimic the skin of a fish. A catalytic conversion takes place on contact with water to form a slippery surface film which inhibits the growth of marine organisms and sheds any growth as the boat moves through the water. A new generation approach, it does not rely on biocides or metals, nor is it an eroding or self-polishing paint. It is fully EU compliant, comes in a range of easy to apply colours and offers the most ecologically friendly solution to anti fouling currently available. Highy effective in preventing marine fouling, it also improves boat performance and fuel efficiency and is competitively priced.

starstarstarstarstar Faster planing!

By: Tony Collins 28 October, 2008
I'm stunned. Isn't it supposed to take a few days for the action of the
paint to work? I expected that the boat would actually be slower today because we were going from a slick bottom to a painted one, but I hoped that eventually I would regain the speed.
This does not seem to be the case. I do not know what WOT (wide open
throttle) is because I did not open it up. What really got my attention was that the boat came up on plane quicker.I tried it several times to make sure I wasn't dreaming. Normally three clicks forward on the throttles will give me about 2300 RPM and I'll let it sit there a second just so I bring the boat up slow and easy. Then I push the throttles another click and up we climb to 3000 RPM and when it planes the RPM's gradually rise to 3400. Today when I got to the third click the boat just kept coming on plane. Never seen that before.

starstarstarstarempty-star Significant performance improvement

By: Allen C Merritt 23 June, 2008
As you know I have used Nauteco Performance Antifouling bottom paint on my O’DAY 28. It was applied in August last year. This summer I dived on the boat and found only a slight coating of slime that easily scrubbed off with a soft brush thus apparently eliminating a very annoying, as well as performance reducing, problem common.
I also crew on pretty fast racer, a Kirby 30. It also had Nauteco Performance Antifouling applied last year shortly after mine. Its owner and captain, Jack Gilden, believe that the paint improved his hull speed by at least one knot. I do not track speed as carefully as Jack because my O’DAY is a cruiser, but I believe I can detect a significant improvement in performance, especially in light air.

starstarstarstarstar Good value antifouling

By: Mike Bassett - Lymington 23 June, 2008
Our Lymington river mooring is fairly exposed and well known for its fouling tendancies. After our first season with Nauteco Performance, we lifted out in April and I was surprised to see how easily a pressure wash removed all of a light slime coating, there was no weed or crustacea growth – especially as the boat had not moved from her mooring for nearly four months. The hull, keel and rudder looked just as good as when I had painted them last year. I use black anti-foul and find it easy to apply with brush and roller, even on a rather cold day! It took me a couple of hours to do each coat, next year I will probably do just one coat as the previous one seems sound. I would say that Nauteco Performance is very good value for a quality anti-foul that works this well
